Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get a free no obligation consultation from Hebert Investigations?
Yes, you can absolutely get a free no obligation consultation. Hebert Investigations only pursues investigations that we are qualified to handle. While we believe we can help most clients, in the unlikely event that we are not the best fit for your case, we will let you know immediately and may even provide a referral to someone who can help you.
How much will a private investigator cost?
We offer both hourly rates and daily fixed rates depending upon your specific needs. Your specific rate will be provided to you upon the completion of your free no obligation consultation.
Hiring a private investigator is like contracting for other types of service, such as a car repair. Do all car repairs cost the same? No. It depends on what the problem is and what parts are needed. Investigations can be somewhat similar. Are a lot of records and data base searches needed? Is surveillance needed? We will do our utmost to provide you with a fair and honest estimate of your expected costs. Our hourly rates start as low as $50.00 per hour.
Will Hebert Investigations serve civil or criminal process?
We do not serve civil or criminal process. However, we do locate missing persons such as former spouses, heirs, and debtors, and we have access to specialized databases that process servers often do not have access to. We will then partner with your process server or a process server affiliated with our company to complete an efficient and cost-effective serve.
Why should I hire an investigator rather than just using the internet and a phone myself?
When you hire a licensed private investigative agency such as Hebert Investigations of Arizona, you are hiring a professional agency that has access to specialized databases not available to the general public, and a person who has verified and relevant investigative experience. Not just anyone can open a private investigative agency in the State of Arizona. Prior to starting a licensed private investigative agency, a person must provide documented relevant investigative experience, be legally bonded, and pass a rigorous background investigation by the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Perhaps most importantly, when you hire Hebert Investigations you are hiring an agency that will conduct an inquiry in an unbiased, discreet, ethical, and cost-effective manner.
What is the difference between a private investigator and a private detective?
Within the United States the licensing requirements and the title, private investigator or private detective, is determined by each individual state. For example, in Arizona the state mandated title is private investigator yet in New Jersey the state mandated title is private detective. In either case, both a private investigator and a private detective perform investigative work on a private pay basis. Their respective title, be it private investigator or private detective, does not differentiate the type of work each entity will do.
